Feeble DM-SM interaction via new scalar and vector mediators in rotating neutron stars

چکیده

We investigate the possible presence of dark matter (DM) in massive and rotating neutron stars (NSs). For purpose we extend our previous work [1] to introduce a light new physics vector mediator besides scalar one order ensure feeble interaction between fermionic DM $\beta$ stable hadronic NSs. The masses fermion, mediators couplings are chosen consistent with self-interaction constraint from Bullet cluster present day relic abundance. Assuming that both contribute equally abundance, compute equation state (EoS) admixed NSs find consideration do not bring any significant change EoS static NS properties compared case where only was considered [1]. However, obtained structural conditions good agreement various constraints on them pulsars like PSR J0348+0432 J0740+6620, gravitational wave (GW170817) data recently results NICER experiments for J0030+0451 J0740+6620. also extended rotational at different angular velocities. this regard suggest secondary component GW190814 may be rapidly NS. frequency B1937+21 J1748-2446ad satisfied by results. Also, moment inertia considering slow rotation. universality relation terms normalized holds EoS.

New instability windows for rotating neutron stars

We reanalyze the r-mode instability in rotating superfluid neutron stars. To this aim we develop a model of resonance interaction of normal m = 2 r-mode with superfluid modes. We show that this interaction dramatically modifies the instability window, that is the region of stellar spin frequencies and temperatures in which a neutron star becomes unstable with respect to radiation of gravitation...

Rotating Neutron Stars

Because of the tremendous densities that exist in the cores of neutron stars, a significant fraction of the matter in the cores of such stars is likely to exist in the form of hyperons. Depending on spin frequency, the hyperon content changes dramatically in rotating neutron stars, as discussed in this paper. Anisotropic convection in rotating proto-neutron stars

We study the conditions for convective instability in rotating, non-magnetic proto–neutron stars. The criteria that determine stability of nascent neutron stars are analogous to the Solberg–Høiland conditions but including the presence of lepton gradients. Our results show that, for standard angular velocity profiles, convectively unstable modes with wave-vectors parallel to the rotation axis a...

Keplerian frequency of uniformly rotating neutron stars and quark stars

Aims. We calculate Keplerian (mass shedding) configurations of rigidly rotating neutron stars and quark stars with crusts. We check the validity of empirical formula for Keplerian frequency, fK, proposed by Lattimer & Prakash, fK(M) = C (M/M⊙) (R/10 km) , where M is the (gravitational) mass of Keplerian configuration, R is the (circumferential) radius of the non-rotating configuration of the sa...
